About me
I’m a multimedia journalist with an emphasis on environmental and infrastructure reporting
My name is Mac Flanagan. I’m a junior in college currently pursuing a degree in journalism at Loyola Marymount University. I grew up among the lush forests and Cascade peaks of Oregon, which fostered a deep appreciation for the natural world from an early age. I love capturing our cities and natural spaces visually and in new ways. In my journalism, I have focused on topics including ocean water quality, urban planning in Southern California, infrastructure and transportation, and outdoor recreation. I am most often found with a camera in hand, camping in the desert, or watching the Portland Trail Blazers compete. Welcome!
